At the Open Faces Freeride Contest at the Wiedersbergerhorn in the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau, Easter Sunday turned into a successful contest day following a weather-related postponement.
A total of eight categories were decided: wins went to Daniel Weiss (U16 Ski Men), Paula Pösch (U18 Ski Women), Edward Tillett (U18 Snowboard Men), and Jonas Gritze (Ski Men 2*). In the open 1* categories, Yones Nasaj (Snowboard Men), Margherita Cenni (Snowboard Women), Eva Perwitzschky (Ski Women), and Ruven Overberg (Ski Men) claimed victory.
Beyond the competition, the Alpbachtal once again showcased its strengths: with a live stream, public area, and stunning mountain scenery, Ski Juwel proved itself as a versatile freeride destination—remaining “The Greatest 1* Contest” and a key stop on the Open Faces calendar.
